What EU panel builders ask after the latest LVD guidance

European panel shops are writing tighter language into 2026 RFQs. The latest Low Voltage Directive guidance has not changed the core IEC 60898 / 61008 tests, but buyers now ask to see the type-test file, not only a CE mark on the carton.

We see three repeating asks: a named contact for the certificate, a packing list that matches the rating plate language, and a first-article sample that is kept for the life of the programme.

Factories that cannot produce the file in English lose the tender before price is discussed. That is why our export desk attaches the report with the quotation, not after the PO.
